When people get sad on nights where there’s supposed to be splendid fun, people consider them to be the downers on a night that’s meant for cheer only. Maybe they can’t help it, maybe it just comes out of nowhere. Maybe one little thing can trigger something enormous.
Maybe you should listen. Just listen. Try to understand. Don’t change them, that isn’t what they want. If you do the right thing, you’ll get a smile out of them. Be patient. Be kind. Help them remember that you’re here for them. Life is filled with fun moments; instead of rushing to have them, take a break when there’s a bump. You’ll be thankful for that time you took.
